About You / What We Are Looking For
Reporting to the Business and Innovation division, the Cemetery Supervisor coordinates the delivery of municipal cemetery services including interment scheduling, customer service operations, records administration, and regulatory compliance. The role supervises cemetery administrative staff and ensures respectful, efficient and compliant service delivery aligned with City bylaws and provincial legislation.
The Cemetery Supervisor supports operational planning associated with cemetery expansion projects, monitors service levels and inventory utilization, updates processes and procedures, and contributes to continuous improvement of cemetery administration processes and public-facing services.
This position works closely with internal departments as well as funeral homes and families, and plays an important role in maintaining accurate cemetery records and supporting long-term service sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will have received a diploma in a field related to park operations, project management, business administration or related discipline plus sound related experience involving supervision, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A driver’s license for the province of BC (with satisfactory driving record) as well as completion of a Police Information Check (with no adverse reports) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for municipal government, or other levels of government
- Experience working in a cemetery setting
- Working knowledge of Stone Orchard Cemetery Management software would be an asset

This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $42.16 - $49.76. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
