About You / What We Are Looking For
We are currently hiring for one Regular Full Time employee to join our Parks division, within the greater Parks, Recreation, Culture & Facilities department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and developing City-owned park asset lifecycle plans, schedules, and budgets. You will use your excellent research and analytical skills to synthetize and evaluate data, determine when repairs or replacements are required throughout various parks asset inventories, and ensuring these plans comply with related bylaws, codes and regulations.
The successful candidate will utilize their excellent communication and relationship building skills, while working with a variety of internal and external contacts, to lead parks asset management initiatives. Minimum Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Engineering or a related field, plus at least 1 year of related experience in asset management of parks. An equivalent combination of training and experience may also be considered. Please note that a Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Municipal parks experience will be considered an asset.
- A certification in asset management will be considered an asset.
- Experience using asset management related software is considered an asset, including ArcGIS suite, AutoCAD, Excel, and internal.
What We Offer:
This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $47.67 - $56.34. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
