About You / What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly organized individual with a
keen eye for detail to join our Civilian Police Services division as a Records
Reviewer – RCMP. This role is responsible for the data entry and maintenance of
information in the Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME)
Master Name Index. This includes reviewing, verifying, modifying and seeking
out related information and determines appropriate record keeping procedures.
Other duties include Records day-to-day tasks such as filing, telephone
inquiries, equipment management and mail sorting as well as assisting with
transcription and new police file queues within PRIME.
The successful incumbent will have considerable
knowledge of the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations applicable to the
work performed and working knowledge of the Federal and Provincial Privacy Act
Legislation. Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently with a high
degree of accuracy and exercise considerable judgement. They will also possess
superior typing, data entry and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by relevant
training and coursework are required.
Preferred
Qualifications
Previous experience working in an RCMP detachment
is preferred. Working knowledge of the preparation of files, records,
statistics and reports is preferred and/or experience using software like CPIC
and PRIME-RMS would be beneficial. For
candidates without work experience in a police department, RCMP volunteer
experience would be considered an asset.
What We Offer:
This CUPE position has
an hourly rate range of $30.51 - $35.84. The rate of
pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge,
experience and skills. The schedule for the positions will be rotational
6am-2pm and 11am-7pm.
