About You / What We Are Looking For
We are currently seeking three committed and experienced Recreation Instructors to lead our adult gymnastics classes. In this role, you will be responsible for safely adapting exercises to accommodate a range of health conditions and physical limitations, ensuring that all participants can progress at their own pace. Key responsibilities include: teaching gymnastic classes tailored to the adult/senior demographic, adapting exercises to effectively meet the diverse needs of participants, creating a supportive and inclusive class environment that encourages learning and individual progress.
As a Recreation Instructor, shifts are varied throughout the year and programs run out of different facilities in the City, however, the primary location is Maillardville Community Centre.
Minimum Qualifications
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Artistic Gymnastics Foundations Certified.
- Emergency First Aid and CPR ‘C’ certification or equivalent.
- Prior experience instructing adults in gymnastics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The City offers an hourly wage of $32.92 - $38.40 per hour + 4% in lieu of benefits. In addition, you can anticipate a lively, fast-paced environment, plus opportunities for personal and professional growth.
