About You / What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Worker. This role is responsible for overseeing and performing complex tasks related to the maintenance, repair and construction of sewer, drainage and water systems and infrastructure. As a Senior Maintenance Worker, you will lead a team of maintenance workers and equipment operators and ensure the delivery of efficient, safe, and reliable services to the community.

Main Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide supervisory and technical work in the organization, plan and direction of team engaged in Public Works infrastructure capital construction
  • Supervise, Install, Maintain and repair pipes and fittings, culverts, manholes, fire hydrants, cathodic protectors, line valves, pressure reducing valves and other related equipment
  • Supervise maintenance workers engaged in maintenance and construction work and provide training when necessary
  • Successful applicants will have considerable knowledge of underground operations and construction work, hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work as well as sound knowledge of operational and maintenance procedures

Qualifications

  • Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia – Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement
  • EOCP Wastewater collection certification Level 2

Additional Information

  • Standard work week, Monday to Friday
  • Schedule is subject to change due to Operational need.
