About You / What We Are Looking For
As a member of our
Engineering and Public Works Geomatics team, you will undertake intermediate
level technical field survey work involving the operation of survey instruments
and related equipment in routine preliminary, construction and topographical
surveys. In addition, you will
participate in the direction of the Survey Assistants’ work.
Minimum Qualifications
Along with a
team-player attitude and 2 years of relevant experience, you have (or are in
the process of obtaining) a diploma in Geomatics or a related area of
study. In addition to a background in
field survey work, preferably in a municipal environment, you have hands-on
expertise with a range of surveying equipment, strong computer abilities,
attention to detail and accuracy, as well as excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. A valid driver’s license is required.

This CUPE position has
an hourly rate range of $33.09 - $38.87. The rate of
pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge,
experience and skills.
